Every now and then I read an article that I wish I wrote. The other day I read one on email personalization. It's not the words or even the ideas. It's the depth on such an important topic.

I have known Brennan for years. There's no one better to write this article. So for today, I'm just going to point you to this great article:

He covers how to communicate with people after they give you their email. If you're not segmenting your audience already, you need to. Because he'll show you how to make use of that segmentation to drive their next action (and how to keep them highly engaged).

He also looks at how to customize your newsletter so that your calls to action are different for different segments. Simple folks like me often end with a single CTA. But that doesn't make sense – because your audience aren't monolithic. So shape your CTAs – and he shows you how to do it.

Lastly, he'll dig into how to do product launches more effectively. Again, it's all about personalization – and making sure that your pitch emails make sense and connect.

These are advanced techniques – no question. But even if they simply open your mind up to what's possible, it's worth reading.

The other day I watched Tenet – the latest Christopher Nolan movie. I enjoyed it. But I enjoyed it because I didn't fight it. I didn't try to figure it out. I just went on the ride and enjoyed it.
