See if this sounds familiar
- They land on your website and fill out a form.
- Then they browse around the site for a few minutes.
- Then they take off.
- But they come back a few days later. And then again a few weeks after that.
This isn’t atypical of your site visitors if they’re checking out your products.
What’s atypical is that you have insight that you didn’t use to have.
After all, isn’t it nice to know the difference between those who visit once and those who have checked out your wares three or four times in the last month?

Or whether they visited that one page you spent so much time preparing?
Maybe they keep coming back to your event registration page… is it time to reach out and see what it takes to close them?
Until now I’ve told you that you had a few ways to do this:
- Do some of your own integration with Woopra.com and pay their reasonable monthly fee
- Work with Orbtr.net and pay their reasonable monthly fee
Alternatively, you could try to do some of this with Drip and their new marketing automation service. It’s not exactly the same thing, but it’s pretty powerful (further post on that soon). And pay their reasonable monthly fee.
Now you can do it for free.
I know – free is crazy!
I’ve talked with these guys and told them how distrustful you are of free. Because if you don’t pay for the product, you ARE the product.
You know it. I know it.
Nevertheless, they assure me that they have a monetization plan in place. And because they’re powered by HubSpot, I don’t think they’re going anywhere.
I landed at the airport to see the news that 2.0 was out, and I did a little dance. (yes, I wrote this whole post just to stick that image in your head)
What are you waiting for?
As you can imagine, I’ll be rolling 2.0 into my site very soon and I’ll let you know how it goes, but if it does everything it says, while still doing everything it already did, I’m sure it will be awesome.
Even more awesome is the fact that MailChimp is now doing even more (and easier) automation with their event-triggered emails.
When you combine the two (which I’ll show you in an upcoming post), you’ll quickly see the power of it all.
