WordPress friends, would you join me on a quick trip to Ensenada?
In just 163 days, some of my friends and I – all WordPressers – will be getting on a Carnival Cruise ship – headed to Ensenada for three days. It takes off on Thursday afternoon and arrives back on Sunday morning – just a day longer than many of the WordCamps I've been to.
Only, this is no WordCamp. There will be no sessions. Instead, it's all, 100%, complete hallway conversation time. You know, the kind where you get to hang out, ask questions, chat about life, business and your plugins.
Are you ready for a WP Cruise?
While not for everyone, cruises can be an incredible value – because you get your room, unlimited amounts of food (way too much!), and tons of social time – all for a ridiculously low price. Even when I go to relatively local WordCamps, I end up spending a night or two in a hotel, and when I add the price of gas, I spend more than this cruise will cost you.
But it's not just about food, or even a low price. It's about hanging out – with a lot of amazingly fun WordPress people (and their spouses and kids, if they want).
Our trip to Disneyland was awesome…
Last year we coordinated a little trip to Disneyland and it was fantastic. But it was just one day.
Now we're talking about taking the show on the road – into international waters and across the border.
