A few years ago I wrote a blog post for WooCommerce where I shared an approach for agencies on how to price the work of building a WooCommerce store. In that post I didn't give anyone an answer. I was giving teams a way to think about things. In the years since, I've had a lot more questions about the subject, but from people ordering an online store, not providing the service. So today I thought I would give you a calculator to help you figure out how much a WooCommerce store should cost.

The calculator asks you a series of questions and then outputs a price range for the project.

Before you start playing with it, there are three things you need to know.

Every freelancer or agency is different.

I'm going to show you what I think you should expect to pay in today's market for the work I'm guessing you need done. But don't respond by showing me a person on Fiverr that can do it for $20. There will always be lower estimates (and higher ones), because every developer, freelancer and agency is different.

Design can do wonders for your conversions.

The estimate below doesn't cover design because the range would make the exercise almost impossible. Design is powerful and can have a massive impact on your conversions. But it has a cost. And the cost varies, much like development, based on expertise. So you can likely get by with something simple, but you'll also get immediate payoff when you get a great designer involved (and that's not estimated below).
